Committed to the organization and its people is how a leader shows a trait of accountability, which is quite different from responsibility. Accountable leaders try to foster alignment and team focus, consider their role seriously and put the team’s goals and objectives first. They must hold themselves as maximum accountable for their actions and decisions. Additionally, three critical areas need to be considered to improve an inclusive culture, including awareness, authenticity, and accountability.
